How to ideally groom your English Bulldog
English Bulldogs need low-maintenance grooming.
Regular grooming of the dogs includes the following tasks:
- Check the wrinkles and clean them if need be
- Cut toenails
- Bathe approx. every 2 months
Most frequent health problems of the English Bulldog:
- Cherry eye
- Entropion (folding in of the eyelid)
- Interdigital eczema
- Growth disorders up to 12 months
- Ingrown corkscrew tail
Major illnesses to date:
- E1 litter 1995: 1 completely deaf bitch - lived 8 years
- F1 litter 1996: deformed spinal column according to owner
- M1 litter 2000: 1 male dog with heart disease, diagnosed at the age of 7 months. I replaced him.
- V1 litter 2008: Bone cancer diagnosed on 1 male dog at the age of 7 ½ years
